What is Anxiety?

quoteAnxiety is generally defined as apprehension or worry that may or may not be accompanied by physical responses such as sweating, pulse rate increase, and shaking.  There are many different kinds of anxiety and everyone experiences some anxiety at one time or another. 

Many people may get a little nervous when speaking in front of a group or may get a bit worried when an unexpected letter from the IRS comes in the mail.  However, anxiety doesn't become a “disorder” until it starts to substantially interfere with your life in some way.
