The Anxiety Garden

06.04.14 | by Mary | Personal Stories

The Anxiety Garden
This morning’s dawning
had buds of indecision,
guilt, and anticipatory anxiety
blooming with the light.

Some clouds of trembling
passed through, followed
by useless fears.

The garden had red self doubt
blooming in profusion,
with purple green ivy
of unconfidence twinning
around stems of growth.

The hedge of procrastination
was a living wall,
dense with wasted time
